Neocova Expands Strategic Advisory Board

Ray Chandonnet, Managing Director and head of the Financial and Technology Strategy Practice at Hovde Group, recently became the 12th member of Neocova’s Strategic Advisory Board.  Ray joins a talented group of advisors with extensive expertise in banking, financial technology, communications, accounting, entrepreneurship, investment and digital transformation.  Each member is instrumental in shaping Neocova’s strategy and ensuring we are best positioned to serve our clients. 

 

Strategic Advisory Board Members

Dr. Jimmie Lenz, Chairman of the Neocova Strategic Advisory Board, is an executive, lecturer and scholar in the field of banking and capital markets. Currently, Jimmie serves as The Academic Director for the Master of Engineering in Financial Technology and Master of Engineering in Cybersecurity at Duke University’s Pratt School of Engineering with a secondary appointment with the Duke Financial Economics Center. Previously, he was an equity trader, head of Predictive Analytics for a Wealth Management firm and Chief Risk Officer and Chief Credit Officer at a top tier broker dealer.

Stephen D. Barr, founder of Osborn+Barr Communications, is an experienced executive and entrepreneur in the Agriculture, Food, Farm Credit and Health Care industries. Starting his career with Deere & Company in advertising (North America, Europe and China), Barr went on to work for Monsanto Company before founding Osborn+Barr in 1988. He has also served on numerous boards including GVAT, IronSolutions, along with youth development organizations such as FFA and 4-H.

He is currently on the board of directors at Kearny Bank and Kearny Financial Corp.

Tony Del Fierro, SVP of Strategy at Copper, is regarded in the industry as a top-tier innovator for digital transformation. Prior to Copper, Tony served as Chief Digital Officer/Chief Technology Officer for Sound Credit Union—one of the largest CUs in the state of Washington—and he led the credit union’s Commercial Service Organization, Sound Financial Group. He has been engaged in a number of startups serving in a strategic advisory capacity.

Douglas Hultquist, former CEO & President of QCR Holdings, Inc., is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) and previously served as a tax partner with two major accounting firms. During his public accounting career, Mr. Hultquist specialized in bank taxation, taxation of closely held businesses, and mergers and acquisitions. Douglas serves on the board of directors of Quad City Bank and Trust, Rockford Bank and Trust, Community State Bank and m2 Lease funds.

Allen Puwalski is a founding partner at Cybiont Capital–a hedge fund specializing in systematically investing in the U.S. banking sector. He also serves as director of Nexos Bank, N.A. Sheri Wood, Controller at Ozark Yacht Club, is an experienced executive in the fields of accounting and banking. She began her career in Public Accounting and migrated to the banking industry. During her 30-year tenure, she specialized in banking operations and was responsible for providing banking software, ancillary services, conversions, mergers and de-conversions to the individually chartered banks within the various holding companies for whom she worked.
